How to order
To place an order, fill out an order form or contact me by email at info@elissweettreats.com. By paying for your order you are accepting all terms listed in these policies.
Payment
All payments are done by invoice. You must pay for the cost of your purchased item/s at the time you place your order. Once payment is received, your order will be confirmed. Because I work out of my home, for the safety of my family and myself, my address will be disclosed once an order is confirmed.
Allergen Statement
All of Eli’s Sweet Treats products are 100% Gluten-free and made in my home kitchen. I work with supplies that contain eggs, dairy, nuts, and soy. While I do my best to avoid cross contact, persons with an allergy to any of these ingredients consume my bakery items at their own risk. Eli’s Sweet Treats cannot be held responsible for any medical issues that arise from consuming my products.
Pick up
Pick up hours are Fridays from 6-8 pm and Saturdays between 10am-12 pm. You must pick a time to pick up your order within these hours. If you do not pick a time, a time will be assigned to you. In the case of an emergency, please contact me as soon as possible to make arrangements for picking up your order. In the case that I have an emergency you will receive a complete refund.
Items not picked up as scheduled will be placed in a cooler at the side entrance of my home for the remainder of the day. Eli’s Sweet Treats cannot be held responsible for the items once placed in the cooler after a missed pick up, but the cooler provides good basic protection from the elements. Items not picked up from the cooler by 9:00 pm that day will be given away or discarded.
Business hours are Mon-Fri 11am-6pm and Saturdays 10am-12pm. It is during this time that I will check emails, follow up with customers, and accept orders.
Ordering/Cancellation/Refund
As a home bakeshop, everything is made to order and I operate by order only. Orders must be paid for at time of ordering, if they are not paid for they are not confirmed for pick up!
Order quotes are valid for 48 hours. If payment is not made within this time frame, your order may be voided or subject to a price change depending on availability.
If you are placing an from the Dessert Menu, please give a 5-day notice. These orders are final sale.
If you are placing a Custom Cake order, please place your order a minimum of 3 weeks prior to your anticipated pick-up date.
For orders $150 and above, a 50% nonrefundable deposit is required. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before pick up, if not paid your order will be voided. If I accept a last-minute order, full payment is due upon order placement, and it is nonrefundable.
For Custom orders paid in full, you must cancel your order within 14 days of your purchase date to get partial refund. For Weddings or Upscale events, separate booking contract policies apply. All refunds are processed back to the original method of payment.
Custom cupcake orders must be placed 2 weeks in advance.
Orders placed in advance are preferable. I understand that there may be circumstances where a custom order may be requested last minute. In this case, please note that depending on my schedule I may or may not be able to take your order. A rush fee may apply.
In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your order, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can fix any error. Please note that refunds are not provided in cases where an item was prepared correctly but flavor or texture did not meet a personal preference.
Design
Remember that each item is unique. No two items will ever be the same, and I may need to change my original design to maintain the products concept or structure. I understand that some clients send in reference pictures for their requested baked goods and while I do my best to create your item/s as similarly as possible, I cannot copy another artist’s exact work.
I am unable to exactly match colors on cakes, macarons, cupcakes, cookies, or other baked goods.
Changes to the design or flavor must be requested in an email as early as possible and may result in a new invoice that must be paid to confirm the changes. Changes are subject to my availability and may not be possible.
Cake Tasting
Cake tastings are offered for weddings or upscale events. Cake tastings are $75. The cost of your tasting goes towards the final cost of your order. Each tasting includes 3 different flavored 4" mini cakes. Additional flavors can be added to your tasting at a varying cost. The tasting is set up in a to go box that you can enjoy in the comfort of your own home. A follow up phone consultation will be scheduled after your tasting to discuss all further details of your event.
Caring for your items
I package my items as securely as possible but cannot be held responsible for baked goods once they are picked up. Cakes should be transported securely on a flat surface, NOT on the seat of your car. The best spot is the floor on the passenger side, with your car air conditioning on high (during summer months). If pick up occurs during winter months, please do not allow vents to blow hot/warm air directly on to your cake.
Store your cake in the refrigerator. Bring the cake to room temperature for an hour prior to eating. It's best eaten within two days. Macarons are best stored in the refrigerator although they can be left at room temperature for 24hrs. If refrigerated, allow macarons to come to room temperature on the counter for 20 minutes before eating. Macarons should be eaten within two days. Cupcakes should be ordered as close as possible to the consumption date to ensure freshness, after 24hrs cupcakes will begin to dry out. All other baked goods last about 3 days at room temperature and should be stored in an airtight container.
Never leave your items out in summer heat, direct sunlight, or near a heat source. Your items will melt if kept at room temperature or above for an extended period of time. Large cakes will have supports inside that must be removed as you cut the cake.
Communication
All communication about your order (details, payment, pick up) will be conducted over email. Please add info@elissweettreats.com to your contacts.
Delivery
Delivery to a venue starts at $35 within a 10-mile radius, and $1.50 per mile for every mile over that distance. Additional charges may apply depending on cake size, venue accessibility, and if cake set up is required at your event. Delivery for all other orders starts at $1.50 per mile.
